OUTLAWS SHUTOUT D'BACKS

On Saturday, the Stillwater Outlaws shutout the Oklahoma City Diamondbacks 14-0. It was a very physical game in which the power running attack of the Outlaws was limited to just 186 yards. The Outlaw defense made up for the struggles by pitching another shutout and holding the Diamondbacks to negative yards. The Outlaws struggled early in the game, but were able to finish the day with a third quarter rushing touchdown by Terrance Burris and a fourth quarter punt return for a touchdown by Gaylon Burris.

The Outlaws have come on exceptionally strong since week one of the Oklahoma Metro Football League’s 2009 season. After giving up 7 points and 153 yards to the Tulsa Knights on February 21st, the Outlaws have held their last 3 opponents scoreless. The Outlaw defense has also only given those thee offenses a total of 46 yards. Their last two opponents each had negative yardage by the end of the game.

The Outlaws will take on the Del City Silverbacks on Saturday night, March 28th, at 7:00pm. The game will be played at Crooked Oak High School on SE 22nd and Eastern Ave in Oklahoma City. Tickets to the game are $5 for adults – children 12 and under get in free. More information can be found at StillwaterOutlaws.com.
