WE'RE BACK!OUTLAWS TO PLAY IN METRO BOWL - AGAIN!On Saturday, the Stillwater Outlaws knocked off the Tulsa Knights 36-7. It was a rematch of the first game of the season where the Outlaws beat the Knights 13-7. The win keeps the Outlaws undefeated with a 10-0 record and will earn them a spot in the Oklahoma Metro Football League’s championship game – Metro Bowl II. The game started slow with both teams failing to reach the endzone in the first quarter. Terrance Burris got the scoring started with a pair of 5-yard touchdown runs in the second quarter. Jake Jobe made both extra points to give the Outlaws a 14-0 lead at half time. Midway thru the third quarter, Tulsa reached the endzone and was able to cut lead 14-7, but Stillwater answered in the fourth quarter. With defenders piling on, Santhony Linzsey willed his way into the endzone from 15 yards out and another PAT made the game 21-7. Moments later the Outlaws faced a 4th down on the Knight’s 27 yard line. Michael Money hit Linzsey for a wide-open touchdown pass. The PAT extended the lead 28-7. In trying to run out the clock to end the game, Tommy Reece pounded up the middle from the 4-yard line to score the last touchdown of the game. The PAT was ran in for 2 points to put the Outlaws up 36-7. The Outlaws will now play the 9-2 Oklahoma Maddogs on Saturday, June 6th. The Game will be played at Crooked Oak High School’s football field on SE 22nd and Eastern Ave in Oklahoma City. Tickets are $5 at the gate and children 12 and under get in free.
